General and basic characteristics within veneer species are constant, however, there are many variables in growth and appearance resulting from local climate and soil conditions. The wider the growth range of a species over the earth’s surface, the greater the variance in many characteristics of the wood. Therefore, important specifying guidelines will assure the application as designed.
Architects and Designers demand the exact look, fit and application when using wood. To this extent, this specifying guide is designed to leave nothing to chance or interpretation by manufacturers, wood workers and wood installation specialists.
